How Did We Get Here?
This major project is constructed around anxiety and loneliness, in attempt to bring awareness to mental health and the struggle many people face. This project is a visual reminder on how people can use water and forest therapy to help both the physical and mental wellbeing of the body. Using this Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku can encourage use to appreciate and spend time in nature. Throughout the series, each element that is seen in each photograph holds a significant meaning, such as wearing white clothing as white is a symbol of purity. Photography allows difficult topics to be visually explained, and as a photographer my work focuses on storytelling and understanding how the body is interpreted.
